Have your students entered the Morris Gleitzman competition?

Would you like Morris Gleitzman to visit your school?

Morris has a very special competition for your primary students.

Dear Young Writers,

Would you like me to visit your school with am armful of signed books? Here’s how you can make it happen. Write an original story of not more than 500 words, starting with the first sentence of any of the stories in Pizza Cake. But don’t just re-tell a Pizza Cake story. Make the first sentence a launching pad for your own imagination, using your own characters if you want to.

If your’s is the story I like best, I’ll come to your school to meet you and everyone else there.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Happy writing.

The competition winner will receive a signed set of Morris Gleitzman’s books for themselves, a signed set of books for their school and a school visit from Morris.  Two runners up will also receive signed sets of Morris’ books.

Competition opens November 1, closes November 25.
Entrants must be in grades 3-6 (or the equivalent in states outside of VIC & NSW).
Morris will visit the winning school, in any state in Australia, before the end of Term 4.
