Welcome back to another term of Penguin Teachers’ Academy. We have been planning our workshops for the year ahead and are excited to announce we have confirmed the following two Professional Development Days for teachers. librarians, pre-service teachers, educational support staff and other interested parties.

Judith Way is a teacher-librarian at Kew High School in
Victoria. She has a Master of Applied Science in teacher
librarianship and a Master of Arts in Children’s Literature. She
was the recipient of the International Association of School
Librarianship Softlink International Excellence Award 2010, the
School Library Association of Victoria’s John Ward Award for
outstanding contribution to teacher librarianship in 2007 and
the SLAV Innovators Award in 2009.
She was awarded the Children’s Book Council of Australia
Eleanor E. Robertson prize in 2003. She has presented at
conferences locally, nationally and internationally. Judith
managed the Bright Ideas blog from 2008-2010 inclusive and
now writes her own blog at http://jway.global2.vic.edu.au
