Penguin Books Australia and Penguin Teachers’ Academy introduce Lance Weiler – thought leader, University lecturer, co-creator of Connected Sparks and Lyka’s Adventure.
Register for a unique professional learning event comprising of a workshop, keynote presentation and discussion panel featuring Lance Weiler, Arron Wood (Director Kids Teaching Kids and City of Melbourne Councillor), and Priscilla Gaff (Life Sciences Program Coordinator, Melbourne Museum).
Explore how to use Lyka and her unique story world, as well as teacher resources to engage your students in science with a focus on the themes of sustainability and the environment.

Penguin Teachers’ Academy Presents – Susan McLean in conversation with Hamish Curry.
Susan McLean is Australia’s foremost expert in the area of cyber safety and young people. She was a member of Victoria Police for 27 years and in 1994 took her first report of cyberbulllying involving a group of Year 8 school girls. From this case, she identified the emerging problem of internet harassment.
Susan McLean will be in conversation with Hamish Curry, speaking about her new book and ways in which educators can assist in keeping their students safe online.
Attendees will receive a free copy of Sexts, Texts and Selfies by Susan McLean. Light finger food and drinks will be provided.
